The Council

The ACFR was founded with the initiative of Ambassador Agim Nesho and Albert Rakipi Ph.D. The Council is run daily by a team with extensive experience in civil society, academia and diplomacy as well as from young professionals qualified in prestigious western universities and institutions.  Much of the trust that ACFR has gained from national and international institutions is due to its members and its team of well-known experts coming from a wide spectrum of sectors.

The Albanian Council on Foreign Relations comprise the National Advisory Board and International Honorary Membership, whose distinguished members offer perspective on a broad range of matters of concern to the Council as well as an invaluable national and international insight on those matters.

The composition of these Boards is as follows:
